Terms of Service

Last updated 9 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Comrat ("Comrat", "we") about your use of the Comrat service at comrat.app. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are using Comrat on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that business to these terms.

The service

Comrat is a customer-messaging tool. You connect messaging accounts that belong to your business, Comrat collects the conversations from those accounts into one inbox, drafts replies to them with an AI model, and sends replies either after you approve them or, if you switch the workspace to automatic mode, on its own. We may change or withdraw features as the product develops.

Accounts and workspaces

You need an account to use Comrat. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what anyone you have given access to does there.

You must be at least 16 and able to enter a contract. Comrat is a business tool and is not intended for personal or household use.

Connected channels

Comrat works by connecting to third-party platforms: Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, which are operated by Meta, and Telegram. When you connect an account you authorise Comrat to read messages sent to it and to send messages from it, and you confirm that you are entitled to give that authorisation for the account in question.

Each platform has its own terms, and using it through Comrat does not exempt you from them. You are responsible for complying with the Meta Platform Terms, the WhatsApp Business terms, the Telegram terms and any messaging policies those platforms publish, including rules about consent, message content and response windows. If a platform suspends or restricts a connected account, Comrat cannot restore it.

You can disconnect a channel at any time from the app's settings. Disconnecting deletes the access token Comrat holds for that channel.

AI-generated replies

Replies are drafted by an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete or worded in a way you would not choose, and we do not guarantee their accuracy. Comrat gives you an approval mode where nothing is sent until you have read it, and an automatic mode where replies go out without review. Which one you use is your decision.

Every message sent from your connected accounts, whether you approved it or the AI sent it on its own, is sent by you and is your responsibility. Review the drafts, keep the instructions you give your agents accurate, and do not rely on Comrat for legal, medical, financial or safety advice to your customers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Comrat to:

  • send spam, unsolicited marketing or messages the recipient has not agreed to receive;
  • deceive people about who they are talking to, or impersonate another person or business;
  • send anything unlawful, harassing, threatening or infringing;
  • connect accounts you do not own or are not authorised to operate;
  • probe, overload or interfere with the service or the platforms it connects to;
  • resell the service or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Your content

The messages, contacts and instructions in your workspace belong to you or your customers, not to us. You give us permission to store and process them only as far as is needed to run the service, as described in our privacy policy. We do not use your message content to train AI models.

Fees

Some plans are paid. The price, the billing period and what the plan includes are shown at the point of purchase, and you agree to pay the amounts shown. We may change prices with notice; a change takes effect from the start of your next billing period after we have told you. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires it.

Termination

You can stop using Comrat at any time by disconnecting your channels and asking us to delete your account, as described on the data deletion page. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by a platform or by law, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice where we can. When your account ends we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep something longer by law.

Disclaimers

Comrat is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that the AI will draft suitable replies, or that a third-party platform will keep working with it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties that are not stated in these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Comrat, including loss caused by a reply the AI drafted or sent, or by a platform restricting a connected account. Our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially we will update the date at the top and email account holders before the change takes effect. If you keep using Comrat after that date, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of Comrat is established, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction over any dispute about them, without prejudice to any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place you live.
